The Curl-Forfar Stand Up 2 Cancer Bonspiel.

A new event for the 2025/26 season, aiming to raise funds for local cancer support services, the Curl-Forfar Stand Up 2 Cancer Bonspiel will be held on Saturday 6th December, 2026 from 10am to 4pm
Cancer can affect anyone’s life at any time. We all know someone impacted by cancer. In recent years, we have had to make too many sad announcements about much-loved curlers who have passed away due to cancer. We have also witnessed many other curlers who have fought hard and come out the other end. It is time to Stand Up 2 Cancer.
We are keen to establish a fun, social curling bonspiel to raise much-needed cash to support the fight against cancer and those going through treatment. We know this subject is close to many curler hearts, and we also know we will get support from teams and individuals.
The early plans are based on a fancy dress bonspiel based on: –
- 4 end games – Guaranteed 2 x 4 end games.
- Breaks between games
- Fun format & fun prizes
- Fancy dress encouraged, but optional for those less inclined.
- A new trophy for the winners to get their name on.
- Entry Fee: £140 per team or £40pp
- Name your team in memory of a team or family member.
- Drinks, Food & Music
- Fun, raffles, prizes & much more
- Make it a social day out.
