We appreciate that many clubs will be meeting to review their positions in respect of their ice bookings for season 2020/21. Whilst we fully recognise and appreciate the concerns many might be facing we would encourage you to submit your ice request as normal and we will then keep you fully informed as events progress.
If we have to shorten the season or delay starting please be re-assured we will have no fears in doing so. Please also take re-assurance from the fact that the facility will be deep cleaned, sanitised and disinfected throughout before anyone is allowed to enter.
We will also be adopting any new rules or changes to the game together with any social distancing rules and health & hygiene requirements that might apply to ice rinks. Anyone that knows us will know that we will go above & beyond in this regard.
We have already been involved in meeetings with the Scottish Ice Rinks Association, the Ice Rink Managers Association in England, Scottish Curling, British Ice Skating and British Ice Hockey with a view to planning as best we can for season 2020/21.
Working groups have been set up both in Scotland & England with link up’s to Canada, America and others in order that we can be as best prepared as possible so please rest assured we will not take unwarranted risks and do our utmost to make sure the return to curling will be conducted in a safe and healthy manner.
Please continue to support your local rink, keep your bookings up and work with us to make the season happen in a safe and postive environment.
Best wishes & stay safe.
